About Julia

I'm Julia Helm, and I love living in Dallas County, where I've dedicated over fifteen years of my career to public service. With eight years as County Auditor, I've been privileged to champion transparency and accountability in local government. I'm passionate about making our Supervisors' meetings accessible online, ensuring our community stays engaged and informed.

I proudly represent the Republican Party and call Adel my home. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in public relations and Master of Arts in communication studies from the University of Northern Iowa. Serving as Dallas County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections has been a fulfilling journey for me.

My political journey began in 2017 when I first took office as Dallas County Auditor, and I'm honored to have been re-elected in 2020. With a background in communication and a commitment to public service, I'm excited to lead our county into a bright future. I believe in leveraging my leadership skills to serve our community and make a positive impact.
